Military Forces Exercise Planner

Key Role:

Serve as a Special Operation Force (SOF) exercise planner. Provide exercise subject matter expertise to support the planning and execution of exercises to facilitate the requisite integration with the global DoD exercise community. Assist with assessment, design, development, implementation, management, and testing of current and prospective exercise programs and subordinate processes, including joint and interagency exercises. 

Basic Qualifications:

-18+ years of experience with operational-strategic operations

-5+ years of experience with the Joint Training System, including Joint exercise planning management

-4+ years of experience with serving in a command, senior enlisted advisor, or primary staff billet in a military force, service, Joint staff, OSD, or 3-4 star level Service or Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) headquarters

-4+ years of experience with Joint operations and operational-strategic level military force planning and operations

-4+ years of experience with the Adaptive Planning and Execution System (APEX) and Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP)

-4+ years of experience in directly interfacing with senior staff, including O5-O6 and General Officer/Flag Officer (GOFO)

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with operational design preferred

-4+ years of experience as a platform instructor in a Professional Military Education (PME) or training environment preferred

-Experience with formal classroom delivery

-Experience with exercises in the CENTCOM AOR preferred

-Possession of excellent organizational skills

-BA or BS degree preferred
