Cloud Engineer, Mid

Key Role:
Maintain technical responsibility for small-to-medium Cloud support projects, including projects that range in size from a few person-months of effort to 2 person-years of effort. Maintain technical and project leadership responsibilities and authorize and mentor other team members to play a significant role in the technical aspects. Support the Cloud architect in meeting with the client to determine project requirements, provide a full range of Cloud administration, configuration, and maintenance support, create or maintain Cloud accounts, modify existing Cloud accounts based on the evolution of the client’s requirements, and keep the client and project manager informed of project status on a regular basis.

Basic Qualifications:
-5 years of experience with infrastructure, including firewalls, load balancers, AD, and DNS
-5 years of experience with Cloud infrastructure technologies, including VPC, Vnet, Route53, Azure DNS, ELB, Azure LB, S3, storage accounts, Cloud formation, and IAM
-5 years of experience with automating infrastructure in a Cloud environment
-Experience with Windows- and Linux-based operating system configuration, automation, and management
-Experience with scripting, including PowerShell, Shell, Python, Perl, and Ansible
-Experience with monitoring and analytical tools, including Splunk, New Relic, and SolarWinds
-Knowledge of Cloud and infrastructure components, including server, storage, data, and applications to deliver end-to-end Cloud infrastructure architectures and designs

-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with automation and provisioning tools, including Chef, Puppet, or Terraform
-Experience in working with various SDLC, including development, QA, implementation, and production
-Experience with Cloud-based disaster recovery and HA system development
-Experience with implementing multiple CI/CD pipelines as a part of DevOps role for on-premises and Cloud- based software using Jenkins, Chef, and AWS or Docker
-Experience with MCSE Cloud and infrastructure a plus
-Experience with Windows OS a plus

-Public Trust clearance a plus
-AWS Certified Solution Architect Certification a plus
