Microelectronics Technology Consultant

Key Role:

Serve as a strategic consultant for high-risk, high-payoff government research and development programs involving leading edge microelectronics, including the technical areas of integrated circuit design, advanced materials and devices, high performance computing, photonics, and hardware security. Work with world-class scientists in driving forward research efforts in novel technologies and the usage of cutting-edge physics for new applications. Provide strategic assessments of new technologies to support senior decision makers, including conducting research to evaluate the feasibility of proposed solutions to provide capability to DoD applications. Produce and present findings and offer recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients, and assist with technical project management, new program development, and briefing materials for government research and development efforts.

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with physics, electrical work, computer science, or computer engineering

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to commute to Arlington, VA

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BS degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, CS, or Computer Engineering

Additional Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with post-graduate work in physics, electronics, computer science, or computer engineering

-Experience with defense research and development programs

-Experience with technical project or program management

-Experience with authoring technical papers and reports

-Ability to convey key program goals and plans to technical and non-technical audiences

-Ability to stay abreast of current and emerging technologies to support new concept development

-Active Secret clearance

-MS degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, CS, or Computer Engineering preferred; PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, CS, Computer Engineering, or a related field a plus
